About Tom Mboya University
is a fully chartered public university located in Homa Bay Town, Kenya. Established in 2022, the institution is named in honor of the late Tom Mboya, one of Kenya\'s most prominent founding fathers and statesmen. The university serves a growing population of over 15,000 students and focuses heavily on sustainable innovation and community-driven research.

Qualifications
The Government, through Tom Mboya University (TMU), intends to apply part of the agreed amount from the financing towards scholarships in STEM.
The University invites applications for these scholarships from suitably qualified persons to Masters OR Ph.D Programmes in the following area
The scholarship package will cover tuition fees and research costs for the duration of study. The scholarships are open to all Kenyans under the age of 30 years who will also be engaged as Graduate Assistants OR Tutorial Fellows. Programmes of study funded by the scholarship are scheduled to commence in August, 2026.
Important Information
Applicants MUST have obtained a minimum of Second Class Honors (Upper Division) in a relevant Bachelor’s degree (for graduate Assistant) / and Master’s Degree (for Tutorial Fellow) from a recognized and accredited University;
Upon successful completion of the Masters Programme, candidates shall be expected to transition to Ph.D. under the scholarship programme;
The successful candidates shall be bonded under the applicable terms and conditions of the University of Tom Mboya University
The successful candidates shall be expected to complete their studies within the prescribed study period;
The studies will be tenable at Dalian Maritime University/Shanghai Maritime University/ Universiti Teknolo- gi Malaysia/ Universiti Kuala Lumpur.
Candidates must be registered or registrable with relevant professional and or regulatory bodies where applicable;
