ERP Web Portal Developer

Position Overview:

The ERP and Web Portal Developer is responsible for the design, development, enhancement, support and continual improvement of enterprise web applications, APIs, middleware and integrations supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central On-Premises. The incumbent leads development of secure, scalable and maintainable C#/.NET solutions, collaborates with the Business Central AL Developer to design integration solutions and develop AL integration codeunits where required, and establishes enterprise technical documentation and software engineering standards. The role supervises consultants, vendors and interns while translating business requirements into robust digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Web Portal Development (25%)

Develop and maintain staff, partner, beneficiary and public-facing portals using C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Vue.js and Tailwind CSS.

Maintain and extend the existing enterprise C#/.NET codebase while preserving architecture and backward compatibility

ERP Integration & Business Central (20%)

Design integrations with Business Central.

Develop AL integration codeunits where required.

Collaborate with the AL Developer on solution architecture.

Develop and consume Business Central APIs and web services.

API & Middleware (15%)

Develop secure REST APIs.

Implement OAuth2/OpenID Connect.

Maintain middleware and synchronisation services.

Application Support & Lifecycle (10%)

Troubleshoot incidents.

Coordinate releases.

Reduce technical debt.

Quality Assurance (8%)

Conduct code reviews.

Implement testing and quality controls

Documentation (7%)

Establish and maintain architecture, API, deployment and developer documentation.

Stakeholder Engagement (5%)

Gather requirements, train users and provide technical guidance.

Vendor & Team Coordination (5%)

Supervise consultants, vendors and interns.

Security & Compliance (5%) .

Apply secure coding practices

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline.

Mandatory Professional Certifications

Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate (MB800) or current equivalent.

Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer Associate (MB-820) or current equivalent

Experience

Minimum five (5) years’ progressively responsible enterprise application development experience.

At least three (3) years working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Business Central.

Strong C#, ASP.NET MVC/Core, .NET and SQL Server experience.

Experience with REST APIs, Business Central integrations and AL integration codeunits.

Experience maintaining enterprise codebases, code reviews, technical documentation and supervision of consultants/vendors/interns.

Technical Competencies

Front-end: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), Vue.js, Tailwind CSS, Responsive Design.

Back-end: C#, ASP.NET MVC/Core, .NET, Entity Framework.

Business Central: APIs, Web Services, AL fundamentals, Integration Codeunits.
