BMA/26/CEO/ICT1/17 Basic Salary Scale: Kshs. 56,000- Kshs. 99,500 p.m. House allowance: Kshs. 15,000 Commuter allowance: Kshs. 14,000 Leave allowance: Kshs. 6,000 (Annually) Terms of service: Permanent and Pensionable Reporting to: Senior ICT Officer Duties and Responsibilities: Duties and Responsibilities entail Installing, configuring, operating and maintaining computer hardware and software systems and related Information Communication Technology infrastructure at the Academy; Writing and testing computer programmes according to instructions and specifications; Providing user support, and training users; Implementing computer systems; Performing technical, systems and user documentation tasks; Investigating and analyzing feasibility of system requirements at the academy; Developing system specifications; Undertaking day-to-day management of the information technology platforms; Providing specifications for procurement of ICT equipment; Ensuring effective and efficient use of ICT resources; Ensuring security of information and network; and Implementing strategic ICT Plans. Required Qualification For appointment to this grade, a staff must have: - Experience of at least 3 years at the grade of Assistant Information Communication Officer II or in a comparable position; Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields:- Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, Business Information Technology; Information Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; Professional Certification in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
