Cybersecurity Analyst

You will need:

Bachelor’s degree, or 4+ years of equivalent experience in a related field relevant certifications and non-traditional training count • Working knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, applications, and security technology concepts

Hands-on experience operating security toolsets: SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls

Strong analytical and critical-thinking ability, including risk assessment

Ability to explain complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders

Keen attention to detail, and comfort handling several things at once

Genuine team-player instincts across cross-functional groups

Preferred:

an entry-level security certification such as Security+ or CEH; cloud security exposure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; familiarity with SOC 2, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS; and scripting in Python or PowerShell for automation.
