ICT-Trainer

Qualifications and skills

Minimum Diploma in the relevant discipline from a recognised institution.

Valid TVETA trainer registration/accreditation.

Relevant pedagogical or technical teacher training qualification.

Strong practical skills, communication and classroom management.

Ability to use digital learning tools and support online teaching.

A relevant degree, professional certification, training experience, CBET experience or assessor/verifier qualification is an added advantage.

Relevant ICT industry certifications and practical laboratory experience are an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and training materials.

Deliver theory lessons and practical training aligned with the curriculum.

Set, administer and mark assignments, CATs and examinations.

Maintain attendance, assessment and learner progress records.

Provide feedback, academic guidance and learner support.

Prepare learners for internal and external assessments.

Use the college learning and student management systems.

Maintain safe classrooms, laboratories and workshops.

Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews and college activities.
