JSS Teacher(Mathematics and Computer)

The Mathematics / Computer Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering effective, engaging, and learner-centred Mathematics and Computer Studies lessons in line with the Competency-Based Education (CBE) curriculum. The role involves assessing and monitoring learner progress, maintaining effective classroom management, integrating technology into teaching, and supporting learners to develop strong analytical, problem-solving, and digital skills. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues and participate in co-curricular and other school activities. Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics and Computer lessons in line with the Competency-Based Education (CBE) framework. Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, teaching and learning resources, and assessments. Assess learners and monitor their academic progress. Maintain effective classroom management and discipline. Integrate technology and practical learning approaches into lessons. Maintain accurate learner records and provide timely feedback. Participate in co-curricular activities and other school programmes. Work collaboratively with colleagues and school management. Perform any other duties assigned by the School Management.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Education, specializing in Mathematics and Computer Studies/ICT or a relevant combination.

Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience.

TSC registered is a must

Must have teaching experience under the Competency-Based Education (CBE) system.

Demonstrated ability to effectively teach Mathematics and Computer Studies.

Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Proficiency in digital learning tools and technology.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Professional, responsible, and committed to learners’ academic development.
